Knitter’s Backpacks, Project Bags and Purses
Hi, thanks for dropping by. Let me tell you a bit about my purses, bags and backpacks.
I make all these items in my home studio, using the best materials I can find, along with the best techniques I know. I work hard to make sure these are quality items that will last you a very long time. I do suggest that you use Scotch-Guard or some other water-resistant product on your bag, as this will help it to last longer between cleaning. For the larger bags and backpacks you will want to spot-clean only, and the smaller bags can be put through the wash.
The knitter’s bag is made with the active, on-the-go knitters and crocheters in mind. This bag fits easily under an airplane seat, still leaving room for you to stretch out your legs. It also sits up nicely and stays open to allow you to work directly from the bag. There is a large zip pocket on the front that will accommodate your pattern page when it’s folded in half, as well as two other exterior pockets. The top flap has a small zip pocket perfect for those small notions like tape measure and stitch markers. Inside there is a 6″ x 6″ pocket, sewn into the center back seam, that can be snapped in place to divide the bottom portion of the bag into two parts; this is especially good for doing colorwork or two-at-a-time projects. At an overall size of 12″ wide by 14″ tall and 6″ deep (front to back) this bag is sized generously and will allow you to easily carry a tablet or smaller laptop as well as your purse essentials, and a knitting or crochet project. The bags are made with heavy-weight upholstery and home decor fabrics, all attachment points are reinforced with nylon webbing inside the fashion fabrics, and the shoulder straps are adjustable from small to xxl. I have carried the prototype bag nonstop since mid-november 2016 and love it more every day! This bag is now available in both a backpack style, shown with the teal lining below, and a shoulder bag style, shown in both purple and green below. Both styles have generous straps, to allow all sizes of folks to carry them with comfort.

The Small Backpack $50
This new design will be available beginning in January 2017, and is the perfect size for two small projects or one medium project, plus a few “purse essentials”, and is perfect for a day in the country or a night on the town! Featuring shoulder straps that zip together to become a single strap, one pocket large enough for the ipad mini or most other small to mid-sized tablet, and another pocket with 3 pen/tool/needle slots and a larger slot for scissors or other small items. Straps are 40″ long each, and adjustable. Exterior fabric is a lightweight canvas, lining is a quilting cotton, fully interfaced, and washable too.
The Buffalo Box Bag $35
This is a generously-sized box bag, measuring at 6″x6″x12″, and featuring handles on each end. It is roomy enough for medium to large projects, easy to get sweater projects into and out of thanks to the large mouth, that’s a full 18″ of zipper opening. It is fully lined and interfaced, and stands up on it’s own, it’s shown here totally empty! This bag is also washable, as are most of my bags.
The basic box bag $30
This is a slightly more svelte edition of the Buffalo box bag, and measures about 4″x 5″ x 9″, and has handles on both ends. It will fit sock or other small projects, and makes a great toiletries kit too.

The Small Wedge
This bag is perfect for just the essentials when headed out to Knit Night, or to a party, and it’s easy to grab when you are in a hurry or have your hands full. It measures approximately 8″ x 12″, and has a wrist strap that is detachable.
The Medium Wedge $30
This bag is just the right size for two-at-a-time socks, mittens, a scarf, or other mid-sized project. The small bag in this photo is the small wedge, and the larger bag is the Medium Wedge.
The Large Wedge
This is a generous up-size of the small wedge, measuring in at 12″ x 16″, and includes an inside pocket. It’s large enough for a big shawl project, or most smaller sweaters. Options for this bag include the carry-handles shown as well as the same wrist strap that is on the small wedge above.
